About Us
Robert Hall Photography is located in Placerville’s Historic Downtown District at 312 Main Street, Suite 102. The studio is nestled in the Fountain Plaza, next to the landmark Cary House Hotel. Our convenient, street-level location is easy to find, and there’s ample free parking nearby in the public garage and public lots.

We photograph by appointment only. Our in-studio hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays afternoons, if you wish to drop-by for information, or to pickup orders. In all instances, it’s best to call ahead -- 530.621.3559 -- so we can expect you.

We are a full-service photographic studio. We love photographing families, brides and their weddings, and high school seniors. In fact, we photograph all types of families and individuals, in the studio and out-of-doors.

Our studio comfortably provides room for groups as large as 10-to-12 persons, as well as being warm and intimate for smaller groups, couples and individuals. We can also accommodate commercial assignments in our studio, and, of course, pets are welcome.

Anne and Robert Hall own and operate Robert Hall Photography.

Background
For many years, we were known as Sierra Scene Photo Studio, and for nine years Robert Hall did it all. With Anne onboard, we decided to take advantage of the family effort driving the business and renamed it Robert Hall Photography.

Credentials
Robert brings over 30 years of dedication to quality photography to the business. Recognition as a photographer while in high school led Robert to major in photography at De Anza College in Cupertino CA.

An interest and mastery of darkroom techniques led Robert into a career of scientific photography, while his gift for photographing people was directed towards the excitement and rewards of wedding day photography. Along the way, Robert also applied his skills in the Army Reserve as a photojournalist and as an aerial photo interpreter.

In April of 2002, Anne Hall, Robert’s wife of 30+ years, said good-bye to a career in corporate marketing and joined Robert Hall Photography as Studio Manager. She also spends time as a CASA (Court Ordered Special Advocate) volunteer and serves on the Placerville Downtown Association Board of Directors. Both Anne and Robert are members of Wedding and Portrait Photographers International, and of the El Dorado County Chamber of Commerce.

Personal Stuff
And we have two children. Patrick lives in Somerville, MA and is a graduate student studying urban and environmental planning.  Our daughter in law Lara is a new doctor and medical resident in family health. Our lovely daughter Erin lives in Placerville and works in El Dorado Hills.
